Hey im reading the artical now, and cant believe what scott got on the Engineering part. He has a fully custom IFS, how is that not better than someone who used leafs? AGH! I think they hate toys.

The competition is mud biased. How else is a big mud truck going to win. If you can't even think about being competitive w/out 39in or bigger tires it's a mud competition. Think about it, every stage except the mini rubicon has mud in it.

did you see the pic of the engine bay on that toyota? It looks like the biggest gong-show I've ever seen! He put a 5.0 out of a mustang and there are wires everywhere and it looks like a mess... that's why he got bad engineering points I'm sure!!

I saw that, looks pretty sick. Compare it to the engine compartment of the 5.0 swapped jeep that was there! I also think IFS engineering doesnt really deserve big points anyway, probably the way fourwheeler saw it. And that was backed up when he ended up shitting parts all over the place during the comp too.

And as for mud, there is no mud on the mini rubi (as was mentioned) hillclimb, truckpull and wasnt on the obstical coarse till this year. I agree that mud is a big factor in the comp, but you go into it knowing that.

Been watching TTC to tell ya'll the truth and tanktrap is a SOB for either. Too fuckin deep for the titanic and too off-camber/skinny for a mountain goat.
As far as scott goes I think he builds (built)his shit quick and wheels the shit outa it. Takes more pride in other people's stuff he builds. Too buisy for petty shit on his ride.
Hell he told me he was (may still be) tearing the whole thing down and building something else when TTC called. We all get burned out building our rigs. Hell I am lucky to do any finishing touches on my ride. My front spring perches are still square and I don't think I have ground a weld ever.
