well, I feel like Chaz. I fawked up again.

Doing my first valve of my first port job I got into the water jacket on one of the intake chambers. Is this a repairable thing? I am fawking hating myself for doing this. I should have just bolted the engine together. Now it looks like I will have to spend more money that I don't have.

Indy cylinder head service may be able to repair it.... thats the funny thing about heads.. you need to know between castings where you can remove material. I don't have the number for Indy but it shouldn't be to hard to find..

That sucks, are they just stock heads?
If so it will probably cost more to fix than its worth :(

I have a few sbc heads, let me know if you need replacements.

Yeah, stock heads. But a pretty good cast #. Hopefully I can find another easily.

if ya decide to get new heads, the factory vortecs are kickin ass... i love mine, although they have been hella worked, they are pushing a 4000# chevy C10 down the track to the tune of 12.90's on a moderate cam and tight converter.

you will need a dedicated manifold but these things in stock form (maybe a little exhaust side bowl work) and making great torwue.

I've heard of guys using JB to fix it on another board... AFAIK it worked out alright. Just gotta be careful to not get any in that passage.

If you want to drive down my way. I'll sell you a set of BowTie Phase II GM Performance Parts heads with Manley Stainless Race Flo's and Comp Cam double springs for $200.00 with about 10,000 miles on them. Never been ported and are 184cc intake volume and 64cc chambers.

interested. these are for the older style SBCs (up to 85)? I think that the 64CC is what I am after to keep the ratio down around 9.5:1
