I dont know about your humming problem but the most you can go is a 6 degree shim I think...running them on my truck to rotate pinion up and it is fine up to freeway speeds

I just put some 6's in the front of my truck for pionion angle and it made my truck handle so much beter. I did try a 3 first to see how the handling changed. It was beter so I went to a 6. A 4-5 would have been alittle beter for handling but 6 is what I bought. Now I can drive with my hubs locked at over 60mph with no vibration. Does that help.

Best idea is to measure the angles:

Driveline measurments

then get a shim made to correct the angles, if needed.

Follow 4CrawlR's (Roger Brown) advise. I plan on getting a set of his shims.

I got a 1" body lift from him. His prices were very reasonable for the amount of thought and work put into his products.

Roger just made me a 10 to 12 degree shim. Figure out what you need and he'll make you a pair. Good prices too <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
You can also take the measurments and ask him to figure it out for you <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
