My 2 cents aren't actually worth 2 cents, but... <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

...Perhaps a longer frame-to-shackle shackle, getting a vertical mainshackle angle...

It seems to me that with doubles, the main shackle only has to go back for stuff, because the secondary deals with droop.

I'm running Chev's with a double, and stock rims/tires, and I get more stuff and droop than that (not a knock, just a point)

Either that, or you're getting some SERIOUS binding/excessive friction somewheres.

OH, ya, nice truck, too. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

And why don't you people strap your damn coolers down?!?!?! <IMG SRC="smilies/thefinger.gif" border="0">

Ok, well, like I said, the shackle on the spring end is responsible for the stuff... Would you run a single-shackle with a vertical shackle angle? No, because it'd be all stuff, right, no droop?

So your secondary shackle, the one on the frame end, is responsible for your droop. And because it's so damn short, you're not getting ANYWHERE near the droop you should be.

Here:

<IMG width=621 height=490 SRC="http://www.pirate4x4.com/ubb/uploads/DoubleShackle.jpg">
(Sorry, that sucks. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">)

A longer frame-end shackle will not only physically drop the spring-end shackle's "mounting point" down further, the unsprung weight will have an easier time pulling the shackle off the frame, because the "lever" (frame-end shackle) is longer.

...It's a pain, but I'd be willing to bet that if you lengthened your frame-end shackle, and moved the shackle mount forwards (like lengthen the shackle 3 inches, and move the mount 4 1/2 inches forward), it'd kick ass.

My other 2 cents. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

i agree with you totally johnny coldnorth, but i had shitty droop as per allpros instructions with the original single shackle setup. just jealous of a couple of guys i see on the trail with their $100 chevy's <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0"> . i sold 2 sets prior to the allpros...

dont get me wrong though, the all pro fronts are phenomenal!!!!!!!!!!!!thanks for the 4 cents, johnny!! <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/beer.gif" border="0">

MTNGOAT... Here is a picture of my rear droop after doing my own custom rear shackle. I agree with you that AllPro's instructions set you up with a near verticle shackle angle that sucks for droop. I solved my droop problem by making new longer shackles and rewelding the spring perch to the factory location.I think the shackles are 8" eye to eye. This gave me a shackle angle of about 45 degrees and my droop has increased big time. Here is the picture you asked for. Hope this helps.

Here is a shot of mine. I set my shackles up with a little more angle than the instructions call for. I prefer my rear shackles to sit at about 25 - 30 degrees.

i will try to get some pozer pics of my setup. it seemed to droop pretty well. i moved the stock shackle hanger 2" forward and had a 7" shackle against the frame that had a tube with poly mounts where it connected with the spring shackle. <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0">
