i dont think smythe sells them anymore, and I will contact classic cruisers for the 1 peice pilot bearing, does this mean I dont need to order a pilot bearing from GM.

You won't need the GM pilot bearing if you get the CC one.

I tried to PM you, but your in box is full. On your PM in box in the box where it says "Show messages from:", select "the beginning" from the pull down menu. Then delete the old PMs.

You're still a newbie. :flipoff2:

here's a pic of the one i have. i would also recommend using a pilot bushing, not a bearing. if the bearing fails, it will wipe out the input shaft of the trans (and i have seen it happen) . when's the last time you saw a properly lubed (oil not grease) pilot bushing wear out?! it'll outlive most parts on your cruiser!;)

Is that all I need to adapt the sm420 input shaft to my "F" engines Flywheel? no more sleeves or anything??
If so PM me with a price, and shipping to 94062(woodside, ca) and I'll buy it from you.

you're still gonna need the ring for the 420 input, and a clutch disc. the disc i have for you as well, and i'll be in redwood city at ******'s on wednesday evening, so you can pick it up there.;)

Hey George,
Do you have those pilot adapters and bushings readily available? Thats really the only part most guys would have to have made, the sleeve for the input shaft for the throwout bering isn't rocket science.

Actually if you guys have the three speed tranny you can eliminate the need for the indexing ring and that sleeve, leaving only the piolt bearing/bushing adapter as parts you need.

Use the Toy three speed bearing retainer after drilling for the sm420 bolt pattern.

yea I have heard that the clutch discs fit too. I will try mine. What part of it doesnt fit....beacuse the splining is the same right??, and the rest of the stuff like the pressure plate, and flywheel are from the F.

OK where will you be in Redwood City, what time, and how much do you want for it?? Can I write you a check or do u want cash?

In order to bypass the index ring and Sleve, Alls i gots to do is drill the $20 bolt pattern into the bearing retainer for the 3spd. Have you done this?? DOes the 420 input shaft and bearing fit in the 3spd retainer?? Do I need to plug the OEM holes with something...If so, any ideas??

Thanks
