I need some info on mating the sm465 to the three speed bell housing.I know the bell housing needs to be machined out but my main question is with the clutch is it an entire chevy setup or just the clutch pack?

No, don't machine out the bell housing. Machine down the bearing retainer and use allen head screws to hold it on the tranny case. A lot easier to machine the retainer than the bell housing.

On the other question. The clutch disc needs to be a chevy disc to fit the chevy input shaft on the 465. The clutch pressure plate has to be Toy to fit onto the LC flywheel. Wait a minute, I am talking about mating the SM465 to a stock 2F engine. Obviously if your running a chevy V8, everything in the clutch will be chevy <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0"> But on the LC flywheel the pressure can be out of the 3 speed setup along with the throughout bearing.
