what the hell is really going on i have a 74 cruiser that needed to be smogged in july 2002 so i put it in non op cause i was going out of the country for a year came home for a month wanted to wheel so i went to get a move permit, was told that 74's were now smog exempt so i paid my dues got my sticker and registration and was wheelin that day but the day before i left to come back overseas i got a letter from the dmv that was a reciept for fees paid but not a valid registration cause i needed smog still.
california web site for DMV says 1973
Lady at the dmv said 1974
anyone else know something :confused: :mad: :confused:

If you already received the current sticker, forget about it until next year. Its not like they can prove you got the letter. It sounds like the mistake is on their part and they should waive it until next year because of it. Be glad its 73', here it is 67'...:(
