Do you really need the outter snap rings on the stub shaft axle? I have ran with out them on Toyota axles with no problems but what about Dana products?

IIRC, the instructions that came with my warn premiums, said this snap ring is optional.

yep, it is optional. When I installed my hubs, there wasn't enough room to get the snap ring on the stub shaft.

if you cant get them on and are anal, you can run a bolt in the end of the stubshaft with a body washer.
