Well considering you can do the same thing properly for about $30, and some time behind a welder. I'd say over priced, clearance limiting JU crap. That is what I want, my spring perches clamped to my axles so they can loosen up, and I can throw driveshafts, and cause scary steering at random times.

I have to agree, they are absolute crap. If it where a pavement queen only I could see the use of it, but if you have any clue how to weld I would just get some spring perches and do it yourself.
Bolt on spring perches sound sooooo frightening. Bootie fab.
Spring perches are a safety item. Weld them on. If you can not weld, get some body to do it for you. I could not weld well enough to trust when I first did my SOA. I got a mobile welding service to come out and weld them on for me for under $100, in my driveway (actually aptartment parking lot:D ).
I already had the axles out, perches marked where I wanted them, paint cleaned off, ready to weld.
Not to mention the kit does not even deal with steering issues, longer brake lines, etc etc. Complete waste of money.
In my opinion, if you have to use a bolt on SOA kit, you are probably not ready to go SOA.

Well, My true thoughts are..."I think $500 bucks is way to much money for that... "

Take your $500 you are going to spend on that kit and buy:

$200 Lincoln 220v 225amp Arc/stick welder.
$200 Dewalt chop-saw
$70 4 1/2 inch angle grinder

and build your own SOA kit.......:p

These items will save you more money over the next 20 yrs then that $500 SOA kit will......:flipoff2:

You ask.... I told....

Don't forget a 3" hole saw to make your purches from 2x4 stock. I have done at least 20 SOA's for different folks and have never had to spend more than 30 bucks for the material. $100 if you buy new U bolts. Total waste of money.
Cool, they include sway bar disconnects in the kit!

Wrong board to post this stuff on. :flipoff2:

That said, they are using the stock perches to take up torsional loads, so the axle won't spin under the new perches. This design will work. You don't gain as much ground clearance as with weld-on perches, you still have a plate and bolt heads under the stock perch. But you do gain the thickness of the spring pack under the axle.

I don't like the way they are using straight bolts (screws) instead of u-bolts. I think its easier to get even loads with u-bolts, plus they add some resistance to movement.
