what do you have to do when you soa a yj for steering?

also, will the driveshafts still work with that lift?

Some more info would be nice.
Are you running the original axles?
Are you running a SYE?

The best steering solution is high steer. Easily done with D44 flat top knuckles, or D60s.
If you are running the original D30 first of all, my condolences, there are several manufacturers of high steer kits, that require using their knuckles.
When I first did mine, I just used a dropped pitman arm, but the drag link would hit the right side spring in certain situations.

As for the driveshafts, you REALLY need to run a SYE on the t-case. The angle is too much. The vibrations will cause the snapring that holds the rear bearing on the main shaft to break, causing the aminshaft to move back and forth, eating up the t-case internals.
As well as the SYE, you will need to lengthen both driveshafts.

Also, do not forget about a traction bar for at least the rear axle, and you will need to do something about springs. Your stock springs will not last for long.
