im looking at getting some new leafs to stretch my WB in my cherokee and im looking at these springs(measurements are eye to centerpin to eye):

MJ: 26x31.5 57.5" over all
Chevy 1/2 ton: 26x26 52" overall

stock XJ is 23x28 5/8" 51.58 overall

the mj and chevy should net me about 3" of stretch right? and with the MJ it is a longer spring so the shackle relocation will need to be done

is there a benefit to have the longer MJ spring? or the shorter chevy?

flip the cherokee springs around, build an anti-wrap bar and your set.

thats too much WB for me and it wears out the springs much faster..im looking for about 2-3" not 6" stretch.

then run the 52" chevy's!!! i put some in my YJ last weekend Rancho RS86211 removed springs for less height and voila, 3" stretch. Spring load on the chevy 52"s is much higher than XJ's so plan to remove leaves.

Ther is also the 56" chevy from the rear of 3/4 ton trucks. I believe it is 26"/30". There is a lot of info on the 52"s and 56"s on CK5.com as it is a standard swap we do.
