Im making a double steering arm for a 77 FJ40
The stock studs that bolt the arm to the knuckle are not long enough to go through both arms.
anybody know where i can get some longer studs or even bolts
I think they're 11mm with a 1.50 thread pitch
everywhere I check says they can only get 10mm or 12mm... blah blah blah
i really want to use longer studs instead of drilling out the holes on the top half of the arm, and using the stock studs.

I also searched on this but couldnt find any answers
Thanks

I would never even dream of doing what you are thinking, well ok I did think of it but was quickly shot down in flames and that was ten years ago.

I would strongly suggest getting one that is welded by someone that knows how to weld cast steels.

I will get a pic of mine which is home build and is ten years old with no problems.

I'm not sure which thread count is the crossover, but 11mm is equal to 7/16 20 tpi. Seat belts in 60's and some other trucks are this size and like 8mm vs 5/16 it's too close to tell.

..try one, or tap out to common and stronger 12mm studs.

Fastenal has never not been able to get me what I need in fasteners.

Without knowing exactly what you're doing it sounds scary. A search on double steering arms might get better ideas.
