Hey all,
I’m assembling my 1.3l, using the high compression flat top pistons, p/n PA88000HP.50, with a 1324 block and crank.

I’ve got the rotating assembly together and I’m trying to figure out what went wrong. The pistons are .034-.039” above the Deck. This won’t work I don’t believe, but this is a fairly common piston choice. My gasket is the Suzuki MLS gasket, listed as 1.2mm or .047” thick. That’s means I have a deck clearance of only .008”.

I personally decked the block .004” to clean it up, so nothing crazy there.

I’m tempted to just pull the pistons and remove .015” to get a more respectable deck clearance. What would you do? Anyone else ever have this issue?
