I must cut some of my leaf spring bolts in order to replace my badly wobbled out spring bushings (non shackle/pivot ends) When I called Suzuki, they couldn't tell me what kind of bolts they are. What grade bolt should this very important bolt be? I was thinking grade 8 or 10??? Another question is why did suzuki make the rear hanger about an inch wider that the spring pack. My friend said that with such short springs, this allowed for more droop. Why did the front springs not receive the same treatment? And is this a good mod for longer springs or would something like this potentially spell disaster out on the trail????

Thanks for the answer on the hardware. Really trying to see if the hanger concept is something to incorporate in my next upgrade or not.
