Why do the springs on my truck fan out? This has happened from day one when I was running the Pro-Comp II IFS lift with 4" blocks, the stock rear springs fanned out, Then I bought some 4" NWOR (junk) springs and they fanned, same with the Skyjacker Softrides, then the Alcans, and now the All Pros are fanning. Does any one else have this problem? Am I not torqueing the U-bolts tight enough (120-130) pounds. Do I need to tighten the center bolts tighter? 0r do I just live with it? <IMG SRC="smilies/confused.gif" border="0">
If they had them I did not remove them. On the All-Pros it is the short leaves that are not in the clamps that are fanning. I do not even bend the non-bolted clamps straight.
