Just did spring over on my YJ.
I have 350 with th350 and Novak adapter to np231.
Have some questions?
How much drive shaft needs to be inside the Tcase in the back to be safe?
Also I have heard horror stories about death wobble and spring wrap.
what do you recomend to alleviate these problems before they start..

YOu did a SOA and motor swap and STILL have the slip yoke on the transfer case????? you are waiting for disaster to strike, I sugest getting a heavy duty slip yoke eliminator and a good rear driveshaft, this will be a much stronger setup that will help your rear driveline angle

Keep doing searches man. You'll find more than enough info on all that stuff.

Definately go with SYE kit, or else you will be buying a new transfer case, which you might need anyways. as far as axle wrap goes... what kind of springs are you using??? That makes a big difference. I have my YJ sprung over with some 4" bds springs and I have no axle wrap problems. but my springs are also really stiff!!

I used a SYE and ordered a Tom Woods driveshaft. Had a fab shop build me a track bar and all is well.

Hello Guys . I got the SPring over done and have since done a few others on Jeeps and Samurais.
You will get axle wrap with a SPOA . I usually fix this with a traction bar . I did drive the Jeep with the Chevy V-8 on the Road for a long time and never had any problems . I never did any burnouts or wheeled it so it was not and issue.
Three heim joints some tubing a shackle and a couple mounts are all you need to make the traction bar.

WOW THATS AN OLD THREAD . WHAT MADE YOU KICK THIS DEAD HORSE>

Speaking of the Slip Yoke ELiminator. Im thinking about getting one for a 92 YJ I picked up. The Back of the T-case leaks right now after I broke a Driveshaft and it flipped around. I think it may have bent the Main shaft in the T-case.

Any recomendations on the Best SLip Yoke ELiminator Kit?

I have the AA SYE, and it seems to do the trick. It comes with a nice beafy shaft.

Yeah, the one from DC4WD because it is the cheapest. Porc's is also really cheap (by cheap, I mean price, not quality). I went with DC because he also sells the Tera 2lo kit. Everything was perfect!
