OK, I am gonna make some rear corners, simliar to Avalance's and a belly up skid.
I work at a fab shop(im the CAD whore), and was wondering what you guys thought about using Aluminum instead of steel.
I hate the fact that the two metal react when in contact wwith one another but the weight savings of Aluminum would be tempting. I am not talking about fawking diamond plate either.
For the corners I was thinking about 7 ga. or 3/16 Aluminum plate and for the skid 3/8".
If I use steel the skid would be 1/4 and the corners 1/4.
Anyone have any input? Or does it not really make a fawking difference, just make the shit and beat the hell out of it <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

if you want the armor factor go steel, if you want the weight factor go aluminum. If you go aluminum, get diamond plate.
