Make some brackets. If you are talking about the Howe pumps that circle track racers use, lots of them have been mounted to Mopar small blocks, and there may even be a bracket kit out there, but I'd just make my own. Simple and cheap.

If you know of a kit, PLEASE let me know. I can't find one. To tell you the truth I'm really getting tired of having to make every single thing for this project. It would be nice to bolt on sonething.

Thanks for any help.

Guess you've now realized NOTHING is bolt on, unless it is factory installed.

Tell me about it. It is nice to dream. Do you know of anything to help me out?

Even if I could use a chevy head or block mount and make it work would be great. But, I have looked at those too. I don't think that I can do it. Let me know if I am incorrect.

Thanks

I'd try to modify the stock mount. A little welding and some spacers and you should be able to make something to work ok. You just have to be careful to get the pulleys lined up good.

I don't even know what the pump looks like.

I did have to modify the heck out of my brackets to get the alt to work with the eddy heads, but I had everything there to look at to figure it out.

I'd look real hard at what I have and how it needs to go on, then take a trip to the JY, and look at everything !!! You may find something that will work, or be very close.

I have snagged parts off just about every make, imports included, to put stuff on my truck. Heck, the p/s cooler I'm using is a nice 8" x 10" x 2" plate/tube tranny cooler off a misutbishi v6 for goodness sake !!

I will say this, to make sure it is lined up correctly, I'd go get some 1/4" wooden dowels and use them as belts to make sure it is lined up when you are designing your mounts.

Make sure you check the top & bottom of the pulleys. You can't always use the face of the pulleys, as the flange there may be thicker, and if it is, it will throw you off (and your belts at higher rpm).

Good Luck !!

I just went thru this with my alt belts, as I put a larger alt on it, and used some mounts off a newer model v6 dodge truck. I had to modify them cuz of the eddy heads once again.

I have no brakets to build from. I bought the motor bare.

Anyone know if the magnum engine brakets mount up like the LA's

If so will that work?

The alt is not really a problem, I can make that work. The tc pump is really small, and has to be right. I'm also trying to put the alt and pump on the driver side, pump on the bottom. And the york on the pass side. All of them have to be below my cage. Good stuff. I called March Performance and Cv Products and they both had nothing to help me.

Thanks

Oh, yeah. This is the pump I have. Puts out 1300 psi, part #210

This rest of the system is Danfoss orbital, Flex-a-lite remote cooler with adjustable fan, Howe remote res., 8in Iron Cheif ram.

Some cheap stuff some good stuff, maybe it will work. But I got to get it running first.

If you look at the website for Howe they have 2 VW mounts that are made out of steel. Does anyone know if these can be made to work.

Help
thanks
