Getting the Cj put back together and I have an odd problem. Pushed the clutch in to test the linkage, and it stayed in. The fork will flop back and forth with the throuwout, but the pressure plate fingers did not spring back. any ideas? I've never seen a pressure plate do this.

Could be packed with mud?
I don't think so, but it could be rusted. The tranny and motor were separated when I swapped them to the new frame, and I don't remember there being any mud up in the bellhousing. They have been sitting for 3 months now, so it's possible that something froze up with rust.

I'm hoping that when I get the fuel lines hooked up tommorrow that it will decide to release when the motor starts.

Any other ideas? Either what the problem is, or how to force it to release without removing it?
