Probably as good of place to ask as any. :flipoff2:
My 04 Honda Rubicon is starting to get a little long in the tooth, and I’m looking to possibly upgrade to a new four wheeler. Not looking at a SxS because I need to be able to haul it in the bed of my truck. It will be primarily used for work, so no need for the mud snorkels and all of that BS.
My options locally are Can-Am, Yahama, Honda, Kawasaki, and Polaris. Any real pluses or minuses to any of these brands? Any to stay away from?
My Honda has functioned well over the years, but it has had some issues with electrical components. I know a few people who like and have had good luck with the Yamaha Grizzly series.
The Kodiak is pretty close the same as the Grizzly. One of the biggest improvements is putting grizzly weights in the Kodiak primary. The Kodiaks were designed for work, and people who don't know how to really ride. So on take off it can be very sluggish. Putting the grizz weights in allows it to lift the wheels lol. My g/f has a 700 griz, good machine, but Yamaha won't build anything bigger, so had to go to Can Am 1000. Now I wont have anything else....
