In a YJ the stock seat bases have about a 15 degree tilt. I had to "adjust" them to a 7 degree tilt to get the seats to sit like stock. I only adjusted the drivers side, the passenger side didn't really matter.
If you just mount them to the stock bases/sliders, the front of the seats are pretty high and I felt like I was pushing down against them to hit the brakes. (I'm 6ft tall 185 lbs). The steering wheel was also really close to the front of the seat, I was touching both the steeringwheel and seat with my leg when sliding through. If you are short then there might be no problem with the steering wheel

The red triangle represents the shape of the piece I cut out. I left the rearmost part uncut and just folded it down. The measurement was about 1.75" in the front.
