Here are a couple pictures of me testing my front end! I could have gone a little bit higher on the ramp... but that wood thing seemed a bit unsafe....especially when it started making some scary noises!!!! LOL

I found out that my shackle angles are a bit off! They start to lay against the frame during full flex. So I need to cut them off and reweld them!

And I still need to mount the front shocks!

Let me know what you think! Trail pics to come soon!

Open front? Why would I go through all that trouble and keep the front open? LOL I have the electric locker rear, detroit up front!

I will have to wait till next summer for the Marlin crawl box. That will give him time to work out any bugs too!

Then it doesn't use the 4Cyl case, correct (unless he found a way to install it upside down to flip the front output)

Does it use two Taco Xfer's? I was just thinking that you'll be whishing that you had a way to disconnect the front axle for tight turns without unlocking a hub, and WAS going to recommend the twinstick, but...

I have a friend with a 350'd, dual detroit'd CJ who is the king-of-the-3-point-turn because he can't friggin' turn on the trail.

The taco adapter mates a 4 cyl T-case to a Taco tranny, which moves the front driveshaft to the passenger side.

I'm running dual Detroits with the same wheel base Yogi has, although I do have a twin stick, and I honestly don't notice all that much effect on turning radius one way or the other. Of course with a 120in plus wheelbase there is a whole lotta 3pointing going on in any case!

Are all D44's driver's side diffs? I thought a lot of them were passenger side diffs! I have been thinking about going with a D44 front and a D60 rear . . . whats the deal?

A lot of them are passenger side diffs. The driver side diff comes off of a mid 80s wagoneer and a mid 70s ford I think.

Looking SWEET! Looks even better to me than the million $$$ one on 38's.

I think that's how the "TRD Offroad" equipped Taco's should come from the factory.

Nah. Then I'd have no good excuse to dump $3k into a truck. And then how would I tell the difference between a wheeler and a yuppie who likes big tires?

This thread is cracking me up. Everybody keeps talking smack about the other SAS tacos, and then the people with them end up posting.

INSERT FOOT INTO MOUTH!!
