more what?

i dont know if many have drilled and tappe dthe 60 box for ram assist?!?! it is similar internally to the minitruck box as i had aid in one of my original posts!

it did work fine on my rig, i have removed it now, as i am building that setup onto my FJ45 trail rig, and it isnt driving yet!
i also couldnt afford two rams, so im gunna have power steer on the bj, and run the ram assist where its needed :(

probly be a few years before i have this new machine running (its hoping to compete in late march) i havent started and i have less than 7 weeks to build the entire rig  i think its do-able!!! though should be awesome!

the box is essentially the same, although i beleive you guys get a speed sensor, which decides how sensitive to make the box? and we didnt get that, as you yanks got all the cool stuff  but our FJ80s had it!! anyways i beleive it belonged near the steering shaft so doesnt interfere with where you drill and tap!

the pics have been up for a while, check the other threads of mine someone has resurrected it, there is also pics of the stripped out box and stuff on there!

i just wanted to here something about taping the box .the problem thet i have is i put a sag. pump with a fj60 box on my zook and it works great in 2wd but when i put in 4lw and start turning in tight places it starts pukeing up fluid through the filler cap like there is to much fluid in it.i thought it was over heating so i put a cooler and about 5 ft of steel lines on it but it still does it .it acts like it is not circulating .i have landcruiser axels and 38 inch tsls you would think that it would be strong enough to turn that.

i ran 38s and now 42s, with a similar setup, locked front, difficult to steer, very difficult

i would say jack the car up, cycle the steering from side to sode, to try and bleed the system, sounds like you have airpockets

hows your cooling lines? are they above the top height of the reservoir at all? is your pump below the line of the steering box? many factors to look at! hell the guy you bought your axles off ran the same shiat on a heavier rig, so somehting is WRONG!

drilling and tapping the box:
search for "drilled and tapped fj60 box for hydro"
try ram assist (landcruiser section)
