What am I missing?

I need to build an anti-axle wrap bar for the rear of my 40, its spring over running a 60. It the first pictures the bar is mounted with a shackle, won't the torque of the axle pull that bar/shacke to the rear as the axle wraps? I know I am missing something here- but wat is it?

Thanks

Greg,
It is mounted with a shackle so it wont bind, as the leafs flatten out there will be some horizontal movement at the axle, (just as the rear of your springs move with the spring shackles under compression/extesnsion) the shackle will allow for horizontal movement, but will hinder the vertical movement of the bar, thus limiting/controlling the spring wrap.

what fj dave said
the shackle is as close to 90 degrees to the bar as possable.
you want absolutly NO vertical movement of the bar,the design only lets it move horizontaly.

we did a run this weekend at holy cross/colorado.
the set up held its own. no problems at all.
i am very pleased with the outcome of this bar! :D
