I've been to tellico several times, but I've always stayed at the small campsite on Tral 1. I'm going this weekend but I need electric hookups this time. From what I understand, State Line and McNabb don't have them. Does Green Cove or Tellico Plains? We're looking for CHEAP camping.

Very true... I stayed at West Motel for $35 a night and they didn't mind us working on our rigs at all hours of the night either...

That price sound like his full hook-up sites. If all you need is power then those sites are cheaper, I paid $12/night this summer. Unless things have changed be sure to pay the $10 (or was it $20) up front for shop time. That way you can use it all you want, otherwise it's an hourly fee if you decide to use it later. Crawford is a hell of a guy and his campground is possibly the nicest I've ever seen. His rocks are fun to play on too. He might be a tad higher than other campgrounds but I don't mind paying a little more to support someone who supports the sport.

I didn't know you were going this weekend. We'll be there from Fri to Sun. Forget about Green Cove as there closed for the season. Crawfords is nice, hot showers, electricity, etc... BUT you have to drive 45 minutes to get to the trails, not bad in the summer, but it sucks in 10 degrees with a bikini top. Were staying in Stateline right where the pavement meets the gravel and we'll have electricity if you need it. We're taking a huge Cat bulldozer battery and two big power invertors. They'll run anything from heaters to drills and other power tools all weekend. Find us when you get there and set up camp beside us, you can use all of the electricity you need and we can combine firewood and have a huge bonfire(we'll need it to keep warm as Sat morning it will be about 5-8 degrees and snow everywhere) Let me know when you're leaving and what you'll be driving and I'll look for you.

PS Bring lots of beer as its the only way to stay asleep when its that cold.

Are you bringing your Jeep? Is it done? Are you ready to find its weak links? Lower 2 in snow ummmmmm!

My Jeep is close to done. I hope to test drive it next weekend. This weekend we are just taking our ATV's. If you are serious about donating power, we'll probably take you up on it! We just want power during the nights to run some small space heaters and electric blankets and maybe some during the day to keep my brother's Cummins from freezing up. If the ATV's break, we'll just park them or leave. We're not going to be doing any wrenching on them. eMail me so that we can discuss plans. [email protected]. I/we appreciate the generosity. We will bring tons of beer and firewood.
