1980 350. Right now the temp sender is in the side of the head, temp goes up to 240 when getting warm then goes down to normal once driving and fully warmed up.
Is this right???

Next, I have a Painless Wiring Thermostat contolled electric fan switch that will turn on the fan at 185 and off at 170. Where do I screw this sender in? The intake manidold (Weiand)??

Also has anyone installed one of these switches before, it came w/o directions.

Thanks

You can screw in into the opposite cyl. head above the starter, that part of the block runs a little warmer than the rest so your fan will get a 'head start' or you can put it in the intake as long as it is 'under' the thermostat if there is a port that is avail.

The port available on the intake is behind the carburetor, not near the thermostat.

So I take it that's not the place to put it???
