I think it will bolt to a 258, cause I thought they were basically the same motor as the 4.0 except for injection, and some other stuff, but I think it will bolt to the motor, wont it?????????

That's a pretty funny question, since my father inlaw's 86 CJ7 came with a 258, 999, 300 in stock form.

Yes, it will bolt up. What year is the tranny?

4.25" ground clearance gain

As said, that was a stock install in the 80's. The 999 has a relatively shallow pan- means you can rotate the 300 up 4.25" for a nice flat belly. I've got some pics on my site of the 999 with a 300. good luck:D

Alot of CJ's came from the factory with that setup. Im thinking if I ever find a decent 60 front with a pass side drop, for cheap, I'll buy it, and a D300, and go to town :D
