Anyone know how much to tighten the bolts that hold the pump to the case? My manual is useless when it comes to the tranny. Also, are there any tricks to getting that area to seal? This is my 2nd try, and I'm getting really sick and tired of fighting this leak.

Pics from the original replacement are HERE. Anyone see where I screwed up?

Bolts torque 18-20 ft-lbs

Make sure you are lubing the pump seal and the pump bore ub the case with ATF and be very careful not to bind the seal against anything that could damage it.

Check the seal groove for trash that could be under the sealand lookd for gounges in the pump and case surfaces

Are you sure you have a good pump?

The pump works, but I don't know if it bad somewhere that would cause it to leak. I'll probably take the pump out of a known good tranny I have and put it in this one. Hopefully this will cure it this time!

Thanks

Sounds like a good idea. It sounds like there might be a nick in the outside of the pump. Be careful to check the bore in the case before you replace though. That could be where the leak is coming from and the pump might be good!

Good luck
