Yep. Thats my plan. I need to finish weld the bedsides then i can paint them. Also need to weld on some tabs for the fire extinguishers, light bar, bed floor, etc and paint those. Im on my last bit of gas for my welder so im trying to prioritize whats welded. I have wednesday off so should wrap up everything then.
Another Jambo in the books and another year where my skin is stained oompa loompa orange from all the dust, but wouldnt have had it any other way. Weather was unseasonably cool for May in TX and it was awesome. The Squirrel performed great and kicked ass on every trail. No major carnage from the group other than one sheared tie-rod end on Daniels toyota. Never seen one sheer off before. I made a couple small character dents on the sheet metal, but other than that no issues. Ran 190* most of the day even with me beating on it. I guess the new water pump and rerouting the steam lines did the trick.
Loaded up Chris's truck and took off early Thursday morning.
Some stuff that needs attention. Tires got into the rear bedsides some. Need to trim out 1/2" or so at the top. Need to make a panel to enclose the center console area. Bitch is hot inside the cab. Also needs some expanded metal in the footwells to keep rocks out of the cab.
Next trip is to K2 on Memorial weekend. Plenty of time for some finishing touches.
Went to the best rock crawling park TX (Katemcy Rocks) has to offer and had a blast. The truck did great and went everywhere i pointed it. I love the uptravel i have in comparison to the last rig. night and day difference in how it handles the technical rocks. Put a decent dent in the drivers door and caved in the upper portion of the cab on the passenger side on a trail called Squeezed (should have known it was going to get me). Other than that, no carnage from our group.
Some pics. Didnt take that many.
Swung by Stinkbeans house and picked up his son's crawler. Little guy is a very skilled wheeler already at age 4. His buggy fit perfectly across the front.
Didnt even unload it from the trailer as im headed to Hot Springs, AR for some Superlift ORV fun in the rain at the Razorback Ramble. Going to be fun.
I've done hours of searching on here and in manuals but can't find an answer. My brand new 22re is giving me hell and I don't know why. No codes were present with my old motor and it ran just fine.
Timing NOT advancing and idle doesn't change when jumper is pulled from T and E1...
I grabbed this truck out of Humboldt a couple years ago. Basically it had a bunch of started projects, like the SAS, Chevy 63's hi-steer etc. Wasn't a runner and was pretty rough. Building a capaple daily driver.

Well this revamp sucks but i think i can post pics because of it so going to document my build of the last 10 years. Warning not all pictures are going to be high quility. I dont have hrs to devote to making this thread right away so it will probably take a couple weeks to get cought up with...
I picked up this Instagram famous truck in Salt Lake early in the fall.
There is a lot to like about it, but it definitely needs some TLC. I'm slowly making progress.

Decided it's time to finally do a build thread on the buggy. Finally got a shop of my own. Started life as a 85 4 runner and has gone through many phases as my love for the hobby has grown. Plans for this phase are 3 link front, 3rz and to finish tube work finally. I back half ed it and linked...
