Started on the air intake. Made this little bracket and pieced some stuff together I had lying around. Tomorrow I'm going to build anew offset piece of 3" round 16g to weld to my new bracket and hook to the k&n. My hood clearance is allready minimal so this is a must. Also pulled the 3rd member. Getting ready to shave it as much as possible. Figure that's safer than running 42s!
Whipped this offset up after work and got it mocked up. Hood should clear fine now. Next is to go to toyota and get a wiring diagram and pinout locations. I plan to shave the front axle this weekend. Stay tuned
Built a heat shield out of .070 aluminum, doubles as a mud/dust shield also in case I don't build inner fenders. Progress is a little weak right now, most of my time is going towards my shop at the moment. Built a new fab table and am sheeting the walls. Almost done so stay tuned for more progress if anyone is following ha
Does LC actually say not to wrap the header? Im currious as to why if so. I know if you did wrap it , it makes a huge difference in the ammount of heat in the area.
Got front axle on the bench and started cleaning it up finally. Years of shitty welds done outside in the wind and on painted muddy steel finally are getting ground off. Feels good to finally have a shop and un-Fuck alot of fuckery I have done. Ifs hubs drilled and Tapped for arp 7/16 bolts and 6 pins conversion. Plan is to assemble the axle next with all new parts I have then it's on to mock up the suspension. Also got the dual Fairless winch plate from barnes[/IMG]
