I'd say that it would have to be the throw out bearing in the clutch.
what about if its under load

Well not sure if the TO is new, i put a new clutch in when i did the new engine. I forget if it came with a new bearing. And the noise is the same under load, i think. I cant really hear shit over my exhaust.

If you hear it when the clutch is out and in neutral, throwout bearing most likely. Wouldn't be spinning in the pilot at that time.

Throw out bearing!!!!
Good maintenance practice is to always replace the throwout and pilot bearings when you do a clutch. Not expensive and will save you a lot of time in the future.
Not what you want to hear, a lot of work to change out $30 worth of parts. <IMG SRC="smilies/skull.gif" border="0">

Dude always, always, always replace the throw-out and pilot bearings when you have the tranny separated from the engine. Now you have 6 hours work to replace a $6 part.

Thanks,
Steve Austin
