This works for alot of people. I am in my first tear down and the timing chain is sitting on the ground. head is off and the new doa guids are in. Thats the reason the chain is off. I have a doa head and cam. My buddie has a cam on the way. 22r's BTW. Well how do you advance the cam to match the TTC chain placement? I now have this for info also. The lower chain sprocket dot on TDC is up twards the block. The pulley keyway is about 3 teeth CCW from the saposed timing mark. I am wondering if I should just line up the two white parts on the sprockets and chain and see what happens? Is this the way that the retardation is done to get it all lined up? I thought the lower dot and keyway were sapposed to be lined up parralel? any info can help. PITA to backtrack here ya know....
