Is there two different types of crank shaft seals for the timing chain covers? I got a seal kit from Napa and no way does this seal fit, nor does it look like it should. Timing Chain Cover is out of a 88 YJ 4.2.

Never messed with one. I've only thrown 6s away, never rebuilt one.:smokin:

Im a douche bag. Took the timing cover to the Dealership and after a few techs look at it, one says "you didnt get seal out". Huh? Yah, I guess I just pulled the rubber outside of the seal and left the metal innerds. This way it looks like the seal rests btw two lips instead of just compressing one in. :shaking:
