Very nice! A few questions:

- Why the driver-side hinge? Just more to walk around when you need to open it.

- Do the latch anchors interfere with the tailgate?

- Why not just go further out along the bumper and mount a single latchpoint under the other tail lamp cluster? Does the second one really add that much stability? I've seen several tire carriers that are hinge and latch, with a high tire mount...no vibration problems as long as the metal is padded at the latch.

- What's your hold open mechanism? My personal favorite is a hole and an alan wrench. Cheap, tough, and simple.
