afco and summit. The Ideal is the brand most of us use. Cutting heads are # 4,6,8 and that is .250,.375,.500 and they go bigger but for rocks that is pretty hard on the tire.

yeah, the trick with a hack saw blade, dunno about that, seems like a lot of strain on the welder, Grovers are like 60 bucks for an ok one, just spend the money

Vibrating like crazy????? WTF my 250watt makes no noise at all or vibrations.... All it does is heat up... And it cuts super easy. I grooved my swampers in about 15 mins each (being slow and lazy Groove groove groove etc.......)

The important lesson here is that you push the groover through the rubber.. not pull

That's probably why you didn't notice it. If you heat it up when it is quiet you can hear it and feel it. Kinda like the sound and vibration that a transformer makes.

Mine cuts differently at different temperatures. When the head cools down it cuts slow. When it is nice and hot it's like butter. If it gets tough to cut I stop for a couple of minutes to let it heat back up.

So when you use the chainsaw, do you put the rig on jack stands first and start the motor. "hehe, I can groove 4 tires in two minutes" that way you can do your fender trimming at the same time.
