I found this on RC's website, it's a shot of Teraflex's booth at the Sema show.

What is the black crossmember lookin' piece?

I'm not a TJ guy, but my bet is that it's a bolt-on shock mount, for relocating the upper mounts.

Nope. The upper shock mount is the primer colored stamped metal piece that the black "thing" is sitting on. You can see the top of the shocks behind the piece in question.

I believe it's from this year's SEMA show ... going on right now?

You're right, it doesn't look to be centered, so it may just be resting there, whatever it is.

That is a beating stick, used to replace the popular "billy club" carried by renta-cops.

My guess is that the renta-cop laid it down on the display while he grabbed some food <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> .

I don't think so.......look at the right side of it. It doesn't even go all the way to the frame on that side.......

Ok... maybe it's a support for the frame for the show.

Look at how the sign telling you the drive shaft is a CV style is oriented. Looks like the frame is up on it's side. Maybe that thing is just keeping the frame up like that.

Or maybe it's a doohickey.

Further inspection of other pictures on RC (way to go Mike) I would say itr is a aock mount as stated earlier. Why off set of center I don't know? Could be an optical illusion! Check back right corner of this pick. It appears the shock is attached to the bar in question.

Also check this. Is this a new lower shock mount for a TJ rear next to this disk brake set up?

Check the top picture again - you can clearly see the shock mounts behind the body pucks (stock)

Im no TJ guy, but in the middle pic it appears the rear track bar may attach to the underside of the piece in question. Is it to reinforce the Track bar?
I have no clue, just throwing out ideas here <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0">

The last pic just looks like their regular shock relocators, unless they've redesigned them.

But what's up with the Tera 50???

I know of the 60's, but 50 <IMG SRC="smilies/confused.gif" border="0">

The only place I've heard of the 50 is on Fullsize front axles.... Doesn't ford use the 50 on 250s or something? It's got the same 30 spline axles as a 44, but the actual shaft is bigger (like it necks down at the diff or something retarded)? Don't know about the ujoints...

Whatever it is, it doesn't go there. It would interfer with the body if mounted like it is in the picture. (Notice how it sticks up above the body puck?)

Personally, I think it is part of the display framework. Possibly something that was just set down there to be put out of the way.
