I was looking to buy a whinch bumper & TJM caught my eye. this bumper will be for a daily driver work truck (85) I would consider other bumpers of quailty any suggestions thanks. <IMG SRC="smilies/glasses.gif" border="0">

www.desertrat.com they have plenty of TJM but I warn you ..They are EXPENSIVE

as an aussie - buy a TJM but believe me you would be better off buying an ARB bull bar - a lot better construction than the TJM, heavyier metal, better welds etc

i just got a TJM T-15 because that was my only choice besides custom, and i am not close enough to the custom fab guys. some of the welds did not impress me. it was $780 plus $100 for truck freight.

Well, I bought a T-17 and mdofied it for my tastes. I didn't like any of their designs so I made my own. The bumper cost me $279 and the tubing was an additional $30. Just a thought.<IMG width=640 height=480 SRC="http://www.pirate4x4.com/ubb/uploads/2shot1.jpg">

Not so fast...

It seems the ARB bumpers they ship over here are the SAME as TJM bumpers... I have looked at my TJM side by side with ARB bumpers and I can tell you they could have come from the same manufacturer...

Same metal thickness, same welding, similar deisgn, similar mounting method...

Methinks the US don't get the super-duper ARB's you get down under <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0">

u havn't seen an 84 - 88 bar modified to fit mine yet?

trim the guards level with the bottom of the head lights, and change the mounts, by moving them in by 2 inches and done

and arb do make a bar, one of those non bumper replacement things - mine had one i thnk they are <IMG SRC="smilies/rainbow.gif" border="0"> so it is sitting under the car port

BUBS I never said you couldn`t modify one I only said they don`t make one and yes I`m refering to the Deluxe Winch Bar type not the gay shitty one you also think is <IMG SRC="smilies/rainbow.gif" border="0">

BTW the thickness of the steel is the SAME on both the TJM and the ARB bars and they are all weak as piss. I`ve dinted my ARB a number of times with only just a little touch (and I mean a little touch) on a rock and it bent the crap out of it. Personly I want one like the Allpro bars.
