I've heard of 4.30 and 4.37. I think 4.37 is only available in some of the early 80's trucks. 4.30 is common in later model automatics, and probably sometimes found in the others.

I have two diffs in my garage right now with 4.30's in them, came out of an '85 LB with an auto tranny. Trying to get rid of them, actually, I don't need 'em.

I have a set of 4.30 gears for a pair of 8" diff's seting here in the room as well...

FYI - they no longer make the 4.30 gears, so if someone blows a set out, then do bring top dollar to the right buyer...

AFAIK - 4.30 came in solid axle and IFS trucks, and only came behind auto trannies.

Not true, DRM. Late model 4runners still come w/ 8" diffs and 4.30 gears, as well as Tacoma's w/ electric lockers (8"), both almost always in an auto w/ a 31" tire package...

Sorry - I meant to say they do not make the 4.30 gears *aftermarket* - so if you want a set you will pay Toyota prices <IMG SRC="smilies/puke.gif" border="0">
