Toy L52 transmission (5spd)

This thing has been sitting outside for about a year. I popped the top cover to check the gears when I got it and they're all good, no chipped or broken teeth or rust, but it could use to be opened up and cleaned out or at least flushed well. It was in good working order when I got it, and thats really all I know of it's history.

thats not a G52..... thats like an L series without a removable bell housing.

D'oh! thanks, corrected it, it is an L52 from an '81 pickup

technically yes it will bolt up, but it's ~4" shorter than what came in that truck and youd have to do some driveline work to get everythign together, and you'd need a top shift transfer case,

I guess the short answer is not really no,

just be sure that if you're going to remove that top end, that you do it all in one piece because you don't want to break the housing that is held down w/ 4 bolts that is for your main shifter. unbolt it all, then slide the piece back, and it's a lot of fun getting the shift forks lined back up!! it'll work in up into an 83.
