will a 89 toyota tranny and transfercase bolt to a 82 22r ? all that i should need to do is drill out the pinion flanges so the drive shafts bolt up right?

also i want to go dual cases , this 89 transfer case is a front shift correct? can i put my 82 top shift case behind the 89 or do i need two top shifts?

Yes. IF the '89 was a 22RE. If it was a V6 than it will not. In any case, you will need new driveshafts as the '89 transmission is ~4" longer. You should be able to use shafts from an '84 or '85 or just have yours lengthened/shortened. If your '82 is a top-shift case it will work behind the '89 case in a dual setup.
