Now that I have been talked into just replacing the blown V6 in my pickup, I have another question.
In landcruisers, it is easiest to just remove the entire drivetrain in one shot (motor/trans/transfer)- is it the same for the pickup? The engine that I am getting has the auto tranny already bolted to it, so would that be easiest? The truck is currently an auto, by the way.
I am thinking that with all of the IFS crap in the way, it may be easiest to do it this way, rather than trying to free up the engine.
Will it all clear? Is it easiest to just bash up my knuckles and just leave the tranny in?
Has anyone else done this replacement?- it looks pretty tight in there.
