With a little help from Cruzila via phoncon this morning I got my adaptor plate bolted to my SM420 and the ToyBox bolted up to that!! Looks pretty, don't it??:flipoff2:

Got a new clutch plate coming on Tue, so I should have the SM420 bolted up to the 2F/bellhousing that afternoon. Wed I plan to rebuild the 3sp tcase and should be ready for new crossmember measurements on Thur! Fingers are crossed to get the tub back on by the weekend!!:D

It's behind a propane powered 350. If I can help you out feel free to call 310 548 0840, it'll go right to voicemail if I'm on line though. ;)

Hey Musturd!:flipoff2:

For those of us looking into the Toy box and the AA Rock Box..

Why did you go Toybox?

Did you use a AA crossmember or go underneath with something custom? I keep thinking that a crossmember coming under would take the additional torque better than hangin off the t-case.

Do you trailer your rig or drive it on the highway to get to where your wheeling. What are the highway manners like..Noisy?
Could it be used in a dd ?
Thanks

I went with the Toybox cause I got a pretty good price on it;) No reason other than that.

We (Tin Bender) made a crossmember that mounts to the Toy Box underneath. It's MUCH better than using the old style AA member off the back of the t-case.

Right now we flat tow it out to the trails. When I have driven it on the road there was no noise at all coming from the box, don't even know it's there :D

Is that bolted or welded to the frame?

Roger that!! That looks like what I've been thinking of. We'll see though, depends on how far that tcase hangs or how hig I can lift it!!

What was the solution to the gap between the adapter plate and the sm420 that you posted about in this thread?
Oops, sorry for not updating. I did over on Marlin's site, but forgot here! Here's the link to Marlin's site!
