Anyone here every rebuild there internal reg. alternator? I mean more than just replacing the brushes? I'm looking for info on replacing the slip ring. Everything else - bearings, brushes, diodes, etc..is pretty much a cake walk but the slipring looks like it is epoxied in. There are the usually deep grooves so it is definetly ready. I tried getting some info from a local rebuilder but they would help. Anyone skilled in this voodoo art?
