I was wondering if anyone knows a little about the newer auto trannies in the Tacomas. I have a 98 Tacoma pre-Runner with the 4cyl Automatic. I am wanting to convert to 4x4. Does anyone know if you can un bolt the tail shaft on the 2wd transmission and bolt up a stock T-Case in it's place???????

Thanks..........

trust me I wheel the hell out of my Pre-Runner. Never knew it was for the desert. I have a 6" Trailmaster lift along with 2in AllPro spacers in the fron. It rides on 33x14.50 SSR's with 4.88's in the back along with a LockRight. Don't get me wrong it does ok in the mud, but I always regret getting ridd of my 94 Yota 4x4. I am going to keep the stock 4cyl for now, but plans in the future are leading towards a 5.0........

Later.....
