A reasonable price new from the dealer is $750, pay that for a used one and you're getting ripped off.

Really? high pinion even? I've heard quotes of more like $900ish new for the HP version. Do you have Toy parts connections?

I went to the website www.car-part.com where I did a search for a front elec lock and found one, delivered to my door for $435... <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Just go to the site, and you enter in the year, the make/model, and the part you're looking for. If looking for the elec-lok, look under "carrier" not diff assy. For some reason that seems to be how they list it. The results give you a choice of some boneyards, and you have to check with each to be sure you're both talking 'bout the same thing. One place defined the carrier as the complete diff assy, another called the carrier the complete front axle, (housing, brakes, diff, etc...)
