There is obviously much in common with the dodge m37...Several models: The FQ uses a F gasoline motor. The HQ uses a H 6 cylinder diesel. I've seen pix of a 1975 or 1976, but I'm unsure of span of years of production. The trans looks the same but is bigger and uses a divorced transfer case just like a dodge power wagon. The axles are banjo type (bolted together in the middle) and totally different the cruiser... There is not much other that is the same as cruiser. Toyota engineers and most of the guys who worked on these vehicles are dead or retired. Not much interest at Toyota about their military vehicles. Toyota did also make a 2.5 ton 6x6 as mentioned before...
