Does anyone know what the best radiator would be to use in this application? I will have a V8 in an 87 4Runner and I am looking for the best off the shelf radiator that I can find.
I bought a radiator (for my other truck) from 1 800 radiator and I got the wrong one. Stupid me, I did not read the packing slip and did not realize till it was too late that there are no returns only exchanges. It was to late at that point and now I need to trade this radiator for my new project, but I don't know what I need. Can anyone tell me what the best radiator would be for an 87 3Runner with a V8. A motorhome radiator? V6 radiator? or ? Thanks for your help guys. JW

Try the search function, there was a thread about this exact topic probably no more than 2 weeks ago, I can't remember who was the original poster, but it was a good thread, lots of info.

Jay thanks for that link. I had no idea there were variations to the #342. That gives me more to work with to get max surface area up front. I see they will do custom sizes using existing core width. Gota go play with numbers............

Hey everyone - make sure you check out the Las Cruces poster in the the background of that pic I posted!

Like Brandon's ever run Las Cruces...

Guess I can't talk, since I've never even crawled slickrock. It's fun hanging around all the rockcrawlers on here, though, when you're surrounded by tree-infested, muddy trails as far as the eye can see.

When I ordered my radiator from 1-800-radiator, I ordered a 3 core radiator for a '72 Chevy Nova. I asked about a larger capacity one and he found on that was the same dimensions, only a 4 core. It was also $260 instead of the $120 I spend on the Nova radiator. I cant remember the exact car it came from, but I think it was a buick. They can look it up for you.
