first off i'm a jeep guy and i don't know shit about fords. all i want to know is how to i get the cross member of an 1979 f-150 to com out. i got the bolts that go into the frame the ones on the tranny mount, and now it seems the only thing that is in the way is the arms that come off the front end and are attached to the crossmember. any help would be great thx.

You willl have to pull the radius arms off to get it out. Make sure you have a hi lift jack or a porta power handy to get that crossmember back in. As soon as you take it out the frame will bow a bit and you don't have a prayer in hell getting the crossmember back in without a little "persuasion" good luck
