I've been trying to come up with a way to get a good crawl ratio while maintaining some decent highway RPM's. What if I got rid of the NP200 and behind the T98 I put some 4 speed tranny with a married TC?
If I regeared to 3.55's (the highest my Dana 70 will go), the crawl ratio could be crazy (6.4 x 6 x 2 x 3.55 = 272!! ). That would give me 2095RPMs at 65mph, which would be optimum for my Olds 455. I have the wheelbase, and access to a machine shop (I'm a mechanical engineer
)...
What do you think?? This is a M715, by the way
