I'm looking at secondary trans coolers for my '92 Runner (V6,AC). I really need one but I can't figure out where to mount it. Because of the AC the front of the radiator is taken up. I don't mind buying one with it's own fan but I still don't know where to mount it. It has to be pretty close to one end of the lines. The only place that I can see is the inside of my front skid plate and I'm not about to do that. Thanks for the advice.

Since you're in Cali you shouldn't have to worry about plugging it with mud, so anywhere up under the truck that doesn't put it where the tires can huck a rock into it should be okay. Perhaps right up next to the gas tank over the driveshaft? Behind the tranny there's a ton of room for the thing. Just gotta plumb some lines. If it electric it doesn't need "wind" to cool it, the electric fan will be just fine as long as it's in the open, so you can lay it flat between the frame rails, too.

Like Yota said, anywhere you want. It has an electric fan so plumbing would be the only obstacle I see. May I suggest since you have a 2" body lift, the spot to the right of the t-case and above the e-brake adjustment arm. Just my .02

I do not understand this line!!! Why does it have to be close to the end of one of the lines? There are all kinds of places to mount one under a runner, just run longer rubber lines, it's not high pressure. If you are worried about the lines getting ruptured, get the kind with the SS braiding around it.
